Welcome

Dear friends,

I decided to design a personal web-site in order to provide a central forum for communicating with students and clients (both current and former).

Please excuse the self-promotional nature of the contents found here. But the intent is to link this site to my profiles at the academic institutions that I am associated with; and as such, it is necessary to provide the type of personal information that visitors to such sites require.

I have tried to design a site that provides updates on recent professional projects and activities that I am involved in. For academics who are interested in the research that I am undertaking or for organisations in the public sector in search of public management training or consultancy, please feel free to contact me.

EMERGING ENERGY TECH WILL REVOLUTIONIZE THE SECTOR

NEW RELEASES

I am pleased to announce the release of my second book with close colleagues and friends, Marilyn Brown and Benjamin Sovacool. It is now available for order. More here.

Check out the introductory video which provides insights from Chapter 1:

Here is what Alexander and Ilse Memorial Medal winner, Prof. Martin Pasqualetti has to say about it…

Valentine, Brown, and Sovacool have once again lent their wealth of knowledge and experience to the rest of us. At this critical time they have focused their attention on the most important topic of the day.Empowering the Great Energy Transition underscores the urgency of kicking our addiction to carbon-based fuels. But their contribution does not stop there. It does not just tell us why we should do it, but how we can do it. For those who have already caught a whiff of the climate-change catastrophe looming just over the horizon, finally here is a book that lays out with compelling detail, breadth and logic the necessary energy policies to achieve a low-carbon future that can save our children, our grandchildren, and ourselves. Among the many books on energy transition, this eclipses them all.
